The document or system that is going wrong, and what going wrong looks like. A sample is worth more than a description, and a broken sample is worth more than a clean one.
Whether there is a deadline attached, and whether the current process is someone's afternoon every week. Both change what the right answer is.
You will get a straight assessment, including "this is not worth automating yet" where that is the truth.
